METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR OF LPI CAR

A method for diagnosing breakdown of a fuel pressure sensor of an LPI(Liquefied Petroleum Injection) car is provided to accurately diagnose breakdown of the fuel pressure sensor by monitoring variation of the received fuel pressure signal in a predetermined period for predetermined time and judging breakdown of the fuel pressure sensor according to the monitoring result when the received fuel pressure signal is existed within the predetermined normal range. A method for diagnosing breakdown of a fuel pressure sensor of an LPI car comprises the steps of: receiving signals supplied from a plurality of sensors in a sub ECU(101) and judging if breakdown diagnosis conditions of the fuel pressure sensor are satisfied(103); judging if the received fuel pressure signal of the fuel pressure sensor is existed within predetermined normal range when the breakdown diagnosis conditions of the fuel pressure sensor are satisfied(107); and monitoring variation of the received fuel pressure signal in a predetermined period for predetermined time(109) and judging breakdown of the fuel pressure sensor according to the monitoring result when the received fuel pressure signal is existed within the predetermined normal range(117,119).
