PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile position measuring device easily carried in, installed, moved, and carried out, and capable of accurately recording the moving path of pile axes and a pile drive stop position from the start of pile driving to the stop of pile driving, and also provide a method of measuring pile positions. SOLUTION: This pile position measuring device 1 for measuring the position of the pile axis when a pile K is driven in a ground comprises: a detection part 10 having two detection members 11 which are brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of an erected pile in the same direction from the radial centerline and which detect the movement of the pile axis in the generally horizontal direction relative to a ground level; a recording part 30 for recording the movement of the pile axis detected by the detection part 10 on one sheet of recording paper 34 as the moving path of the pile axes from the start of driving to the stop of driving of the pile K; a transmission part 40 for transmitting the movement of the pile axes detected by the detection part 10 to the recording part 30; a tire 3b for moving the pile position measuring device 1; and a vehicle 3 which holds the detection part 10, the recording part 30, the transmission part 40, and the tire 3b.
