PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate opening/closing device which adequately carries out synchronous control when driving mechanisms are individually provided for a plurality of support members hanging a door body therefrom, synchronously activates the driving mechanisms to smoothly open and close the door body, and facilitates the setting and handling of the driving mechanisms. SOLUTION: The driving mechanism 10 for each support member of the door body 70 is provided with a motor 30 and a driving control section 40, and a position detector 20 is also employed for carrying out the servo control of the motor 30. Then an output signal from each position detector 20 is monitored by a synchronization control section 50. Further a control target value is set by the synchronization control section 50 so that the driving mechanisms 10 are synchronously activated based on output signals from the position detectors 20, and issued to the driving control sections 40, to thereby synchronously control the motors 30. In this manner, the door body 70 can be adequately driven for opening/closing operation by the driving mechanisms 10 having the individual driving sources, and an interlocking connection member such as an intermediate shaft is eliminated from a space between the driving mechanisms 10, various problems occurring due to the connection member, thus preventing.
