An ECU(Electronic Control Unit) data mapping method for detecting illegal ECU data mapping is provided to detect the ECU data which is illegally downloaded in ECU data mapping method and download the ECU data through a universal input/output port inside the ECU. ECU data is downloaded through a universal input/output port inside an ECU(Electronic Control Unit)(S100). If the ECU data download is completed, the complete signal is transmitted to the storage of the ECU through the I/O port. The number of transmission is counted(S110). The information about the date and the time when the final ECU data download is completed is stored in the storage of the ECU(S120). The ECU requests the date of the point of time when data is downloaded and information of the time as the external clock.
