<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a brushless DC motor by low cost and low-loss circuitry. <P>SOLUTION: Bi-directional switches 1a-1h are vertically connected in series to form a first arm 18, a second arm 19, a third arm 20 and a forth arm 21, the first arm 18 through the fourth arm 21 and a capacitor 22 are connected in parallel, a single phase AC power supply 23 and the series joints 18d and 18e of the diodes in the first arm 18 and second arm 19 are connected, respectively, with a reactor interposed therebetween, the first arm 18 and second arm 19 are driven as an AC/DC conversion circuit, any one of the first arm 18 or second arm 19 is connected with one phase of a brushless DC motor 25, and the series joints 18f and 18g of the third arm 20 and fourth arm 21 are connected with different phases of the brushless DC motor 25 and driven. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
