PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately dispose a mediation layer between an outer peripheral surface of a fuel cell body and an inner peripheral surface of a case.SOLUTION: A fuel cell stack A comprises a fuel cell body 1, a case 2 and a mediation layer 3. The manufacturing method thereof includes the steps of: disposing the mediation layer that has thickness d1 larger than a distance D between an outer peripheral surface 1a of the fuel cell body and an inner peripheral surface 2a of a sidewall of the case, between two confronting faces of the outer peripheral surface; crushing the disposed mediation layer from one end to another end of the mediation layer by a roller in such a manner that the thickness becomes smaller than the distance D; and accommodating the fuel cell body in the case while moving the case relatively to the fuel cell body before the thickness of the mediation layer is expanded to the distance D.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
