PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, image forming system, and a density unevenness detection method with which unevenness in density in the sub scanning direction can be securely detected.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a rotatable image carrier; an image forming part that forms a plurality of divided patch images obtained by dividing a patch image for image density detection in the direction of rotation of the image carrier on the image carrier at constant intervals, and forms an image to formed on a sheet on the image carrier; a density detection part that detects the densities of the plurality of divided patch images formed by the image forming part; and a control part that detects unevenness in density of the image in the sub scanning direction that is a sheet conveyance direction on the basis of a result of the detection by the density detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
