The present invention relates to a dipyrromethene-based metal complex compound, to a coloring composition comprising the dipyrromethene-based metal complex compound, and to a color filter comprising the coloring composition. The dipyrromethene-based metal complex compound is represented by chemical formula 1. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the color filter using the dipyrromethene-based metal complex compound has excellent color purity, solubility and reliability.
