The present invention relates to lactobacillus plantarum mz-1 having an antibacterial activity against hatchery fish harmful bacteria. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for culturing lactobacillus plantarum mz-1 having an antibacterial activity against hatchery fish harmful bacteria, a microorganism formulation including the strain and a cultured liquid thereof as active ingredients, and a method for treating harmful bacterial. A Lactobacillus plantarum mz-1 strain is newly separated, wherein the Lactobacillus plantarum mz-1 strain is lactobacillus exhibiting an antibacterial activity against Edwardsiella tarda, Streptococcus iniae, or Vibrio ichthyoenteri which is harmful bacteria causing representative hatchery fish diseases. The lactobacillus plantarum mz-1 strain is expected to be usefully utilized as a hatchery fish antibiotic which may be environmentally-friendly utilized in aquiculture.
