<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing the inside of the apparatus from being soiled with scattering of toner exhausted from a toner exhaust port, by devising such that when a shutter in the toner exhaust port in the bottom of a toner exhaust device is opened as sliding of the toner exhaust device in the direction different from the attaching direction of the toner exhaust device, the opening of the toner exhaust port that opens as the shutter opens and the opening of a toner receiving port are always superimposed. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 has a toner supply unit 14, which is slid and moved with respect to a developing unit 300 and thereby attached to or detached from the developing unit 300 in the position where the toner exhaust port 21 is superimposed with the toner receiving port 22 and which has the shutter 23 on its underside. In the image forming apparatus 100, when the shutter 23 is opened as the toner supply unit 14 is slid in the direction different from the attaching direction of the toner supply unit 14, the opening of the toner exhaust port 21 which opens as the shutter 23 opens is always superimposed with the opening of the toner receiving port 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
