摘要 The present invention relates to a mobile communication base station system comprising: a donor unit connected to a baseband unit; and a remote unit installed at the base station antenna side, wherein the donor unit has a baseband signal processing part including a digital signal processing part for processing interface with the baseband unit, a wireless communication part for processing a wireless communication signal between the baseband signal processing part and the remote unit, and a synchronization and communication control part for processing a synchronizing signal and a communication control signal from the baseband unit, and wherein the remote unit has a service signal processing part for processing MIMO interface with a base station antenna, a wireless communication part for processing a wireless communication signal between the service signal processing part and the donor unit, and a synchronization and communication control part for processing a synchronizing signal and a communication control signal from the donor unit. The donor unit and the remote unit can be easily expanded in a daisy-chain fashion, thereby broadening coverage, and can also be utilized for multihop relay, and thus are suitable for small cell-based next generation communication systems for capacity expansion.
