LIGHTING DEVICE FOR DISCHARGE LAMP, AND LIGHTING FIXTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device for a discharge lamp which is capable of easily fixing lighting circuit components for vibration or the like without damaging lighting circuit components and improved in heat radiation, and a lighting fixture equipped with this discharge lamp lighting device.

SOLUTION: The lighting device for the discharge lamp 1 is equipped with a circuit board 4 which mounts the lighting circuit components and is housed along the bottom face 2bb of a case body 2, an insulator 5 installed around the circuit board 4 and the lighting circuit components in longitudinal direction of the circuit board 4, and a heat radiator 6 which is pressed by the case body 2 and a case lid 3 through the insulator 5 and installed on the circuit board 4 side of the insulator 5 so as to fix the lighting circuit components.
