The invention concerns a mounting device (1) for positioning and securing a sanitary appliance (2), more specifically a water-closet bowl, said device comprising a frame (3) for supporting the sanitary appliance (2), with at least two or exactly two mutually spaced vertical braces (4) and at least one or exactly one cross beam (5), which is secured to the vertical braces (4) and links the vertical braces (4) to one another. The cross beam (5) comprises at least one securing element (23), with which the sanitary appliance (2) can be secured to the mounting device (1).
