METHOD FOR EVALUATING POSSIBILITY OF FORMATION OF SHEAR EDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to evaluate possibility of formation of a material edge that is sheared after preforming precisely.SOLUTION: A plurality of data on the amount of shear equivalent to a deformation limit relative to distortion inclination by changing the distortion inclination at a shear edge by a hole extension test for a metal plate after preforming. From the plurality of data and the amount of shear equivalent to predeformation, the relationship of the distortion inclination to shear equivalent to an elongation flange deformation limit is obtained. From the formation limit line L and the formable range R of the shear edge obtained from the relationship, the possibility of formation of the shear edge relative to a predeformed metal plate by preforming is evaluated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
