<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage material having an excellent hydrogen storage ability, and also provide a hydrogen storage body, a hydrogen storage device and a fuel cell vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: Hydrogen storage materials 1 and 11 each have: molecular layers L<SB>1</SB>to L<SB>i+2</SB>which are laminated in parallel and contain six-membered rings which contain carbon, as main composition, and boron or nitrogen; and projection parts Pr<SB>1a</SB>to Pr<SB>i</SB>which project from the atomic net surfaces of the adjacent molecular layers L<SB>1</SB>to L<SB>i+2</SB>, the lengths of the projection parts being equal at most to a distance between the adjacent layers.
