<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact, ligthweight and inexpensive scanning antenna of simple structure, simple maintenance and long life. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a reflector 50 for reflecting a microwave signal by a 1st signal route 152, a mirror 52 for reflecting a microwave signal reflected by the reflector 50 and redirecting the reflected microwave signal along a 2nd signal route 154 and a radiator 54 having an input port 80 intersecting with the 2nd signal route 154 and an output aperture 85 and capable of radiating microwave energy, received from the input port 80 from the aperture 85 as an antenna beam. Phase distribution crossing the aperture 85 is a function of the phase distribution of microwave energy crossing the port 80, at least one of the reflector 50, the mirror 52 and the radiator 54, e.g. the mirror 52, is constituted so as to be rotated around a shaft 134 and angular relation between the 2nd signal route 154 and the input port 80 is changed over a previously determined angular range and scanned.</p> |
