An intraocular telescopic lens assembly including a negative lens having a negative lens optical axis, a positive lens having a positive lens optical axis and a spacer disposed intermediate the negative lens and the positive lens, the spacer being operative to maintain mutual orientation of the negative lens and the positive lens su ch that the negative lens optical axis is coaxial with the positive lens optical axis.
