The polyolefinic coupling (10) used for connecting of polyolefinic pipes (12, 14), consists of the pipe section made based on the branched polyethylene with a screw gullet (16) on the outer surface and with a screw gullet in the internal surface. The heating element (18) wire is wound in the gullets. The coupling (10) is expanded with the use of the mechanic force so that it is able to slip on both of the ends closed to the pipes (12, 14) to be connected. After that the heating element is supplied by electric current, the coupling is contracted and a melted connection between this coupling and the pipes is created. No further treatment of the ends closed to both of the mentioned pipes is necessary, because the oxide layer is cut by the contracted internal surface and a material connection under this layer is created. The coupling (10) is suitable for diameters of 500 mm and greater, especially. This coupling is heated with the use of infrared or light radiation, instead of electric heating. A ring of reflector lamps around the coupling can be used, as for instance. |
