PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve releasability from a thermal transfer sheet, color developing density and clarity of an image by a dye receptive layer of a thermal transfer recording image receiving element. SOLUTION: A dye receptive layer is formed of resin composition containing water soluble silicate and vinyl resin. The vinyl resin can be used in the form of water solution or aqueous emulsion. The vinyl resin contains vinyl resin (e.g. acrylic resin, or styrene resin) having a functional group selected from a hydroxyl group, carboxyl group, silyl group, amide bond, and ester bond. A ratio of the water soluble silicate to the vinyl resin is the former/the latter = 1/99 to 99/1 (by weight) in terms of solid content. |
