<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-chamber fuel cell system capable of achieving both improvement of heat transfer efficiency at starting and short time starting, and capable of reducing starting energy, and its starting method. <P>SOLUTION: At starting the single-chamber fuel cell system provided with a single-chamber solid oxide fuel cell 1, a battery temperature detecting mans 2 to detect the temperature of this fuel cell 1, an air introducing means 3, a fuel introducing means 4, and a water introducing means 5 to respectively introduce air, fuel, and water into the fuel cell 1, and a control means 6 to adjust introducing amounts of the air, the fuel, and the water based on the temperature of the fuel cell 1 detected by the battery temperature detecting means 2, by introducing a mixture gas of a fuel gas and air into the fuel cell and burning it on an electrode catalyst, a battery element is directly heated without using an outer burner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
