PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge adapter which can freely rotatably position a disk so as to have a prescribed gap even if a disk holder and the disk or only the disk is inserted into the disk cartridge adapter and allows the insertion of only the disk into a disk cartridge followed by the insertion of the disk holder as well. SOLUTION: A positioning pin 41 is installed at an opening/closing member 6 of the disk cartridge adapter. The positioning pin 41 moves to positions different when the disk 1 is housed in a case housing section without the disk holder and when the disk holder 75 is housed in the case housing section. As a result, even if the disk holder 75 and the disk 1 are inserted into the disk cartridge adapter, the disk 1 may be positioned in a freely rotatable state even if only the disk 1 is inserted.
