<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the performance of a fuel cell stack by enhancing the exhaust performance of steam from a fuel electrode. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell system is equipped with a reformer 1 producing hydrogen-rich gas 20 by reforming reaction of fuel gas 19; a first fuel cell stack 2 for generating electric power by electrochemical oxidation reaction of hydrogen contained in hydrogen-rich gas 20 and carbon monoxide; a second fuel cell stack 29 for electrochemically oxidizing unreacted hydrogen and unreacted carbon monoxide contained in first fuel electrode exhaust gas 22, and exhausting second fuel electrode exhaust gas 37 containing no nitrogen and no oxygen; a condenser 7 removing steam by condensing the second fuel electrode exhaust gas 37 and exhausting recycle carbon dioxide remaining after removing steam; and a connection part 36 mixing hydrogen-rich gas with the recycle carbon dioxide 39 and supplying a mixture to a fuel electrode 3 of the first fuel cell stack 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
