Method for operating a mass flow meter

The method involves simulating a measuring tube (1) into oscillation and measuring a resulting oscillatory response. A pressure of a medium flowing through the tube is gauged by evaluating the recorded oscillatory response on a basis of a physical-mathematical model for a dynamics of a mass flowmeter. The model describes the oscillations of the flowmeter upon excitation of the tube in a natural oscillating mode.
