摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for manufacturing a preform for a plastic optical fiber by successive UV polymerization. SOLUTION: The manufacturing apparatus of the preform for the plastic optical fiber includes (1) a cavity preventing type rotary reactor which includes an introduction part having a reactant inlet port, a reaction part that has a flow path connected to the introduction part at the center of a blocking wall and one or more flow path, to connect the introduction part and the reaction part, (2) a driving section, (3) a fixing means, (4) a UV light shielding wall and (5) a pressurizing section. Moreover, the manufacturing apparatus includes a moving device which can move along the surface orthogonal to the radial direction of the cavity preventing type rotary reactor and a UV light focusing optical system having a UV light lamp in the vicinity of the surface opposite to the cavity preventing type rotary reactor.
