<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording type optical recording medium in which cross-write and cross-erase are suppressed so that a track pitch can be significantly reduced as compared to the conventional art. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium has at least a supporting substrate, light absorbing and heat generating parts each of which absorbs light and generates heat, and recording parts. The recording parts are separately provided between recording tracks. Preferably, the recording part includes at least one material selected from a sulfide material, a selenium compound material, a fluoride material, and a nitride material; and a silicon compound. Preferably, the light absorbing and heat generating part has a single layer or a plurality of layers, and the light absorbing and heat generating part includes at least one material selected from a phase change material, a semiconductor material, a low-melting point material, an intermetallic compound material, and an oxide material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
