<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly process keeping quantities of recording heads mounted after replacement and recording materials of a recording material supply means and jetting recovery before recording when a recording head or recording material supply means is replaced with a different kind of new recording head or recording material supply means. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of selection items including a menu for replacing a cartridge with a new cartridge and a menu for replacing it with a different kind of cartridge are displayed; when the menu for replacing it with the new cartridge is selected within a plurality of displayed selection items, display regarding a remaining quantity of recording material of the cartridge based on the number of cumulative reset dots is executed; and when the menu for replacing it with the different kind of cartridge is selected within the plurality of displayed selection items, display regarding a remaining quantity of the recording material of the cartridge based on the number of cumulative dots of the cartridge stored when it was previously used is executed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
