PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared radiation heater having improved radiating property and energy saving construction. SOLUTION: The infrared radiation heater 1 comprises a burner for burning fuel and air mixed in a combustion chamber and a radiant body 8 provided on one side of the combustion chamber for radiating infrared rays. The radiant body 8 has one or more mats formed of fine heat resistant metal wires, thin heat resistant pieces or ceramics materials such as silicon carbide and laminated.
