PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for detecting a protein-target substance by which a large amount of tests can simply be carried out with high accuracy in a short time and the amount of discharged PCB (polychlorinated biphenyl) or dioxin wastes can be suppressed without including a step of gel electrophoresis or a transfer step to a membrane and to provide a method for screening. SOLUTION: The method for detection comprises the following steps. (1) a step of preparing a DIG (digoxigenin)-target substance, (2) a step of preparing GST (glutathione S-transferase) fusion protein beads, (3) a step of bringing the DIG-target substance into contact with the GST fusion protein beads, (4) a step of recovering the GST fusion protein beads to which the DIG-target substance is bonded and (5) a step of measuring a non-radioactive signal indicating the DIG of the DIG-target protein bonded to the recovered GST fusion protein beads.
