<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter assembly capable of surely capturing foreign matter in a living body. <P>SOLUTION: This catheter assembly 1A comprises: a long pipe-like outside catheter 2 with an opened leading end; a long pipe-like intermediate catheter 7 with an opened end, which is inserted into the outside catheter 2; an inside catheter 3A which is equipped with a long inside catheter body 31 inserted into the intermediate catheter 7 and a head portion 5A provided at the leading end of the inside catheter body 31; and a deformed portion 9 as an agitating means which operates to agitate an atheroma 200. When capturing the atheroma 200, the catheter assembly 1A makes the deformed portion 9 actuate to agitate the atheroma 200, subsequently, makes the head portion 5A slide in the outside catheter 2 to suck the agitated atheroma 200 in from the leading end 211 of the outside catheter 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
