<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a space for installing side guides by reducing the number of parts of the side guides to reduce manufacturing cost and thinly forming members of the side guides. <P>SOLUTION: This paper feed cassette 1 has a pair of side guides. A guide width adjusting mechanism 16 is so installed oppositely to each other between the pair of side guides as to guide both sides thereof in the carrying direction of a recording paper and adjusting the guide width. One of the side guides is formed of a synthetic resin, and has a position adjusting part 23 for operating the guide width adjusting mechanism 16. The other of the side guides is formed of a sheet metal. Since one of the side guides is formed of the synthetic resin, the manufacturing cost can be reduced by reducing the number of parts. Since the other of the side guides is formed of the sheet metal, the space for installing the side guides can be reduced by thinly forming the members. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
