<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt retractor which secures stable EA action which is not affected by the action of a pretensioner, and also to provide a seat belt device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The seat belt retractor is provided with a spool 4 which winds up a seat belt 3, a torsion bar 7 which is arranged at the inside of the spool 4 in a radial direction and allows one side of the torsion bar in an axial direction to connect with the spool 4 and is twisted to absorb the kinetic energy of an occupant M by the relative displacement of the one side of the torsion bar in the axial direction and the other side thereof in the axial direction, and the pretensioner 11 which is positioned at the other side of the spool 4 in an axial direction and generates rotating drive force for rotating the spool 4 in the winding direction of the seat belt 3 in the rapid deceleration state of a vehicle. The other side of the torsion bar 7 in the axial direction is locked by the holding pressure of the pretensioner 11 when the pretensioner 11 is operated and is locked with a pawl 13 when the pretensioner 11 is not operated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
