<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly insert a plurality of process cartridges PY, PM, PC, and PK into an apparatus main body 1A, in a color electrophotographic image forming apparatus of a process cartridge drawable tray system. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus has pressing members 72L and 72R disposed above a movement path along which each cartridge reaches to a cartridge mounting section from the opening of the apparatus main body 1A while supported by the movable member (tray) 29.
