<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency in optical packet transmission by performing time difference correction, with no increase of guard time. <P>SOLUTION: An optical switch processing part 11b, with the same switch timing being set to all input ports P1-Pn, performs switching process with the optical signal inputted from the input ports P1-Pn at the same timing. A time difference correction control part 20a transmits optical dummy packets to an optical switch node 10 at initial setting, for switching process. The optical dummy packets returned to an own node are subjected to a synchronous detection process. If out-of-synchronization is detected, the output timing of optical dummy packet is so adjusted that the arrival timing of the optical dummy packet at the optical switch process part 11b agrees with the switch timing of the optical switch process part 11b, thus time difference between switch timing and arrival timing is correctively controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
