<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a star polymer, by which processes for the synthesis can be simplified and the cost for the synthesis can be reduced in comparison of a case for synthesizing the star polymer by ATRP method. <P>SOLUTION: This method for synthesizing the star polymer through the living radical polymerization of monomers in the presence of a metal catalyst is characterized by adding a divinyl monomer including an aromatic divinyl-based hydrocarbon to a reaction system containing the copolymer synthesized by the living radical polymerization and then stopping the living radical polymerization within a prescribed time after the addition of the divinyl monomer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
