<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can suppress shifting in image forming positions by a plurality of image forming means even when a recording medium of low flexibility is used. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus forms an image with faster image forming starting timing than standard and with shorter scanning interval than standard since transporting speed in an image forming part is made greater until the recording medium passes through a supplying part which is present on the upstream side of the image forming part (S107:NO) in a second mode (S101:YES) for carrying out printing to the recording medium of low flexibility. After that, when the recording medium has passed through the supplying part (S107:YES), the image is formed in the standard scanning interval (S109) since the transporting speed in the image forming part is returned to a reference transporting speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
