A method and an apparatus for servicing an API and creating an API mashup and a computer readable recording medium thereof are provided to supply a standardized API(Application Program Interface) package and generate a mashup by using an API package, thereby easily generating mashup contents without changing a mashup generation system. Resource data(320) for generating a mashup of an API(330) is generated. Descriptive data about the API, meta data and the resource data are generated. An API package(300) including the API, the meta data, the resource data and the descriptive data is generated. The API is a public API or a local API. The API package is transmitted to a package providing server or a API mashup generation device.
