PURPOSE: To provide an electric connector for a flat flexible cable on which resistance to opening directional rotation in a pressurizing member closed condition (a flat flexible cable connected condition), is increased. CONSTITUTION: An electric connector for a flat flexible cable has a housing 1 having inside plural terminals 2 juxtaposed at a prescribed pitch and a pressurizing member 3 arranged so as to open-close an opening part 8 of this housing 1. A cam surface 17 formed in the pressurizing member 3 is opposed to a cam receiving surface 9 formed in the housing 1. A downward support surface 28 is formed on the housing 1 side, and a front edge part 15a of the pressurizing member 3 enters under the downward support surface 28 by cooperation of the cam surface 17 and the cam receiving surface 9, and the flat flexible cable is sandwiched between the front edge part 15a and a contact part 13 of the terminals 2. |
