PURPOSE: To provide a multipolar connector capable of reducing an inserting force generated at an engaging process. CONSTITUTION: This multipolar connector 5 has female contacts 1 capable of being engaged along a vertical direction, and female contacts 2 capable of being engaged along a horizontal direction, each arranged alternately at a ratio of 1:1. According to this construction, male and female contacts are engaged to each other at two stages along vertical and horizontal directions, thereby reducing an inserting force for the whole of the connector 5, compared with the case of only a unilateral engaging process. |
