PURPOSE: To provide a photographing device whose sizes in a longitudinal direction and a thickness direction are made to be small and where the installation of an exclusive dust removing filter or the like is unnecessitated and which has a detecting function for the line of sight. CONSTITUTION: The eye 101 of an observer illuminated by an infrared ray emitting diode 113 transmits a first finder lens 104 and a dichroic mirror 105, and is image-formed on an image sensor 102 by an image-forming lens 103. An LCD unit 109 is fixed by an LCD holder 108, and is illuminated from its back with a back light unit 110. An LCD window 107 protects the surface of the LCD unit 109 from damage and staining. A caption 111 is a knob for controlling visibility a part of the knob 111 is exposed from a case 115, and by rotating it by a finger the LCD holder 108 is moved in the direction of an arrow (a) through a cam mechanism, and an eye cup 114 is cleaned by a cotton swab or the like when the dust is stuck on the LCD window 107. |
