A backlight assembly and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to simplify a line structure of the backlight assembly, thereby contributing to easiness of an assembling process and minimization of manufacturing costs and providing a slim LCD by reducing an entire volume. A backlight assembly comprises a couple of lamps(110,120), a power line(200) and a lamp unit. The couple of lamps have power terminals(111,121) and ground terminals(112,122). The power lines are respectively connected to the power terminal of the lamps through soldering. The lamp unit has a ground line(300) commonly connected to the ground terminal of the lamp through soldering. The lamp is a CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp). |
