Turn-button for furniture lock

The button turns on an axis (9) to actuate a furniture door-lock, etc. and plugs into a component freeing or engaging the lock. A bolt slides against spring action at right angles to the axis. A coupling ring detachably secures the button to the lock and door and has a shoulder engaging behind the bolt in the locked position to prevent axial movement. Stops on the ring limit rotation of the button in conjunction with the bolt, which engages in recesses in the ring in the blocking position. The core (17) of a cylinder lock inside the button turns a driving dog (50) with eccentric pin (53) engaging in a recess (68) in the bolt (15). A setting slide (56) adjustable at right angles to the axis of rotation has first and second stops (57,58) each with two working faces (57'-58") which work with lugs on the dog depending on the slide setting. One of the stops is used, dependent on whether the lock works in the right- or left-handed direction.
