PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve proper diagnostic imaging of an osteolysis type or mixed type osteo-metastasis of a cancer by a compound specifically introduced into an osteoclast and select a treatment based on it. SOLUTION: This diagnostic imaging medicine for selecting a treatment for an osteo-metastasis of a cancer contains<99m> Tc(V)-dimercaptosuccinic acid as an active ingredient, and a local diagnosis method for an osteoclast comprising the photographing of a scintigram by administering the chemical to a patient is provided. In particular, the chemical and the diagnosis method are useful for identifying the osteolysis type or mixed type osteo-metastasis or for identifying a disease increasing bone absorption by osteoclasts.
