PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for processing an image, which can start a task in the state same as a predefined state to efficiently implement a trimming task when the trimming task is re-implemented. SOLUTION: The system for processing the image comprises: a means for displaying the images; a means for expanding a specified area in an displayed image; a means for defining a specified area of the image being expanded for trimming; and an image processing unit having a means for recording a expansion definition for the image being expanded and a trimming definition.
