PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify work for setting a destination. SOLUTION: This navigation system comprises an input part 34, a retrieval processing means 91 for retrieving an address inputted by operating the input part 34 from a data recording part 16 provided with an address retrieval list, a comparison processing means 92 for comparing the inputted address with addresses in the retrieval list and determining whether an address matched with the inputted address exists in the retrieval list or not, and a display processing means 93 for displaying addresses in lower layers than addresses of the matching level as candidate addresses in the case that the address matched with the inputted address does not exist in the retrieval list. In this case, there is not need for an operator to move a representative point map on a map screen for specifying a location to be a target. Therefore, it is possible to extremely simplify work for setting the destination. |
