PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit and receive acquired data by a camera and the like, with superior transmission quality in a power line communication system and the like used for external acquired information. SOLUTION: There are provided a camera CA and a data transmitting device 2 for transmitting video image as acquired data, which was acquired by the camera CA, via a power line 1; a data-receiving unit 3 for receiving the transmitted acquired data through the power line 1; and a monitor device 4 for reproducing and displaying the acquired data received by the data receiving unit 3. According to the reception condition of the signal transmitted from the data transmission device 2, the data-receiving device 3 detects a notch in the frequency band used for power line communication and selects arrangement of two or more channels for transmission and receiving the acquired data, while avoiding the frequency zone, which includes the notch. The data transmitting unit 2 transmits the acquired data, based on the arrangement of the selected channel, and the data-receiving unit 3 receives the acquired data, based on the selected channel arrangement.
