<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence on lines (pixels) adjacent to each other in a subscanning direction when one pixel is formed by using the plurality of light sources regardless of divergence of beams of a plurality of light sources. <P>SOLUTION: The optical scanner has N light sources arranged in positions different at least in a subscanning direction, wherein M (N≥2M≥4) light sources of which the scanning positions in the subscanning direction are adjacent to each other are called as one light source group, an (L+1)-th light source group is arranged next to an L-th (L≥1) light source group in the subscanning direction, the M light sources of the respective light source groups has a first arrangement gap X1 in the subscanning direction, the arrangement gap in the subscanning direction of two adjacent light sources of the L-th (L≥1) light source group and the (L+1)-th light source group, of which the scanning positions are adjacent to each other in the subscanning direction, is a second gap X2, and the second gap X2 is larger than the first gap X1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
