CELLULAR SCREENING ASSAY FOR MODULATION OF THE G12 AND/OR G13 PATHWAY

The present invention relates to a cellular assay for screening modulators of the G₁₂ and/or G₁₃ pathway. More specifically the cellular assay comprises the following steps: a. culturing eukaryotic cells expressing a RhoGEF protein or a suitable variant thereof in the presence or in the absence of a test compound; and, b. comparing the subcellular localization of said RhoGEF protein or its suitable variant in the presence of a test compound with said subcellular localization in the absence of the test compound; wherein a change in the subcellular localization of said RhoGEF protein or its suitable variant is indicative that said test compound is a modulator of G₁₂ and/or G₁₃ pathway of GPCRs.
