INTERIOR STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE WITH CURTAIN AIRBAG SYSTEM AND INSTALLATION METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate installation of a regulating member and prevent a gap from occurring between an upper end of a pillar trim and a roof trim in an interior structure of a vehicle with a curtain airbag system by integrally or separately installing the regulating member which protrudes upward from near upper end of the pillar trim.

SOLUTION: This curtain airbag system includes a curtain airbag module 4 which is capable of deploying a curtain member 4a from a gap in a lower end of the room trim including a boundary between a roof trim 7 and a pillar trim 12 so as to cover side windows of the vehicle. A regulating member 20 which is integrally or separately installed to the pillar trim 12 is arranged to protrude upward from near upper end of the pillar trim 12. An engaging groove 26 which houses a lower end of a roof trim 7 is formed at the upper end of the pillar trim 12. At least either a front part 26b or a rear part 26c of the engaging groove 26 is formed in a curved shape, and the groove thickness of a curved section thereof is made almost the same size as that of the roof trim 7.
