<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of shortening the time required to warm up a fuel cell at starting at a low temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system (100) is provided with the fuel cell (10), cooling medium routes (11, 12, 101, 104, 105) which are the routes to go through the fuel cell and in which the cooling medium flows, and a volume variable means (25, 26) to vary a flow volume of the cooling medium in the cooling medium routes, and the volume variable means makes the flow area of the cooling medium in the cooling medium routes smaller at starting up the fuel cell at the low temperature than at normal power generation of the fuel cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
