<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire which is excellent in operability, especially in torque transmissivities. <P>SOLUTION: The guide wire 1 includes a wire body 10 which has a first linear wire 2 that is placed on the distal end side and is made of an Ni-Ti based alloy, and a second linear wire 3 that is placed on the proximal end side of the first wire 2 and is made of a material having the rigidity higher than the constituting material of the first wire 2, and is formed by bonding the first wire 2 and the second wire 3 by welding and a resilient member 5 provided to cover the outer periphery of the distal end part 101 of the wire body 10 and has resiliency.
